Sunset looked up from her book, “Astronomia Nova" to glance at the voice speaking to her. She took notice of the former siren circling her, and she rolled her, sighing to herself and flipping the page.
“Aria, was it?” She said dully. “What do you want?”
The new begin gave a grin as it saw the blast coming at her.
Taking off in a red blur, she lunged, not at the siren form, but at the siren herself, fist clenched and aimed straight at her throat. “Hey Aria!” She said, speaking for the first time. Her voice sounded lower then Sunset’s more feminine but still slightly gravily. “Choke on THIS!”
She never once took notice of her surroundings. All this new being cared about was beating Aria into the ground.
Aria’s force field on the ground was nothing against the demon’s power. It shattered hard against the attack. Next thing the human form of Aria knew was a fist to the throat and the brutal force of the ground under her back. The image of the giant siren in the air flickered out.
Sonata was only just getting out from under the hazard tape to run towards the two women.
Aria looked up at her opponent and spit out blood.
“Bitch!” she rasped. Her arms flew up and her hands wrapped around the demon’s neck. She was losing. She knew it. But she’d not go down without a fight.
Sonata had some ways to run before she reached the two of them.
“Sunset! Please stop!” she called out. “Sunset, are you in there!”
Shimmer paid no attention to the blue siren calling out her counterparts name. Instead, she used her strength to grab Aria’s wrists and pull them from her throat. With a sadistic grin, she then twisted them in her hands, fingers and all, relishing in the sound of the sirens bones snapping in her grasp.
Letting them flop off the the side, she grabbed Aria’s collar with her left hand and resumed punching her with her right, landing blow after blow on her, specks of blood coating her face everytime she drew her hand back.
Finally, she turned towards the blue girl once she had had enough, dropping Aria to the ground. Her neck popped, like something out of a horror movie as she gave a sinister smile to the siren in present. “So.” She said. “You must be… hmmm, let me see, blue, fearful look in the eyes, naively sounding… you must be Sonata. Oh, ol’ Sunset’s had more then a few interesting thoughts about you after your little chat. Gotta say… it sickens me.” She said, her smile turning into a sneer.
I was just semi-complaining that I was still looking for a decent way to backup my +4k posts without having to use paid services or even just wordpress (which has an import from tumblr tool that asks for permission to access your blog and also make posts), when I decided to actually put some effort into my google search.
Results were positive: I have successfully backed up my blog*
*By which I mean: everything that I have ever posted. Not included: drafts, queue, likes, followers, following, comments, notes, chat.
I followed this method (word by word), and now have a 450 MB folder on my computer with the name of my blog on it containing:
1. Folder “Archive” (contains .html files listed by month) 2. Folder “Media” (contains gifs and images, mine has +1k files in it; might contain also audios but I have no way of confirming that because I’ve never reblogged an audio post from this blog) 3. Folder “Posts” (contains single .html files, each one a post; I have +4k files in it) 4. Folder “Theme” (contains only my avatar, but it might be a matter of if you have personalized themes or not) 5. .html file “Index” (by opening it it will give you the archive of your blog organized by month; clicking on a month will open up the archive for that month, and you’ll be able to read all the posts for that month as if you were on your blog**, except sans your theme graphic, with each page containing 50 posts)
**I can see gifs, links, embedded videos, tags, number of notes (but I can’t open up the notes, clearly), text is also correctly formatted.
So yeah, in case anyone wants a very quick way to back up their blog, it took me less than 10 minutes.
P.S. I didn’t have any issue, but to be on the safe side always check for spyware and virus threats before and after downloading anything.
aka a guide to help you mind your own business and relieve yourself of stuff that makes you mad
1. Block them so they can’t contact you, you don’t get their posts recommended to you on your dash but unfortunately you can still see their posts elsewhere
2. blacklist their url, muns usually tag whoever their replying to in their posts for organizational/tracking purposes, you can even turn on the newxkit option to not even see posts that are blocked so you’ll be none the wiser. Add an astrisk at the end of your blocking and it’ll catch their url anywhere, even just when somebody you follow reblogs from them
3. this should be obvious but never ever visit their blog. Hate-reading is so bad for you
4. stay in your own lane. It’s easy, and free. Nobody should be forced to rp their muse exactly how you want them to, somebody’s writing is not more important than their health, they’re just here to have a good time like you hopefully are. If you’re absolutely burning with hatred send something free of their url/name to a confession blog or better yet make a private vent blog where you can be as nasty as you like without dragging anybody else into your negativity
“Why thank you~. You don’t look so bad yourself, hunny~.”
“Mmm, well I do try.” Sunset said, a confident grin on her face, but a blush clearly present. “The hair is always the most difficult thing to take care of though.”
