“Well, being sad doesn’t usually make you hungry, not unless you don’t eat for a couple of days. And Joseph did mention that.” Shimmer said. “Look, how about this: I saw a little burger joint in town. We’ll go there, and you can try to eat a little something ok? I just don’t want you starving to death or anything squirt.”

“Ehhh.. I don’t like greasy foods, u-uh, unless they’re really sweet..” She pouted a bit, before fiddling with her hair. “I-I’m sorry. I d-d-don’t wanna make you mad at me.”

“Come on Sav, you know I can’t stay mad at you.” Shimmer said ruffling her hair again. “I’m sure they have salads and stuff that isn’t greasy. And after, maybe we can see a movie together. Thank sound fun?” She looked down and flashed the girl a small smile.

{Aria to Sunset} “Oh hey. If it isn’t that one chick. What’s her name again?” Aria rubbed her fingers together in thought. “Sunrise? Is that it.” She circled the other woman, shark-like. One might even hear the Jaws Theme playing the way she eyed Sunset like meat now that she had her alone. “Where’s your harem, Sunny? Anyone around to get your back?” Her hand traced where her gem used to be. {{hope this is ok lol}}

Sunset looked up from her book, “Astronomia Nova" to glance at the voice speaking to her. She took notice of the former siren circling her, and she rolled her, sighing to herself and flipping the page.

“Aria, was it?” She said dully. “What do you want?”

Shimmer stomped on the sirens leg when she spoke up, twisting her heel in the wound before turning back at the siren, a scowl on her face. She was slightly taller then the young siren, and she tired to use her little bit of high to her advantage, appearing to try and tower over her. She puffed out a breath of hot air through her nose… and suddenly three her head back in laughter.

“Holy shit, you really are dense!” She cackled. “I don’t give a fuck about all that! What sickens me is all the little fantasies she’s had about you when she thinks I’m not paying attention!” She said, letting out a light snort.

She slapped her knees and wiped a tear from her eye and shot the siren a grin. “Oh, the desires she’s had… it’s disgusting.” She said with a shudder. “I may be a part of her, but at least I keep that shot to myself.” She said.

With another grin, she picked up the fallen siren and threw her at Sonatas feet. “Here. Take her,” she said. “And do yourself a favor: keep her in line, because next time she tries something like she did, I won’t stop until I turn her head into mush.”

Sonata felt her face grow warm at the demon’s confession. Part of it was because it felt like reading Sunset’s hidden diary. It felt wrong and intrusive. Even for a monster like her. And the other part was that she had not expected it. Caught off guard, she went to speak but held her tongue as her sister was tossed at her feet.

She gasped and ducked down to help her twin, tears welling up at the sight of Aria in such poor condition.

“…it wont’ happen again…” Sonata told Shimmer softly. “…but you really ought to go easier on your other self. We don’t choose our emotions.”

She would have held Aria’s hand but it was in poor condition, so she held her shoulder instead. Slowly she started lifting her sister. She was much stronger than she looked. Aria proved to be no obstacle for her and she flung the other siren over her shoulder to carry her over to the paramedics that had arrived.

“See that it doesn’t.” Shimmer said with a glare. “See ya around, Sonata.” Shimmer said, before making her way to her fallen jacket and sliding it on her shoulders. Giving it a small tug and a pat down, she looked over and saw the book Sunset was reading.

With a roll of her eyes, she picked it up and say down on the bench once again, turning the book to the front page, wondering if the bus would still be coming.

{Aria to Sunset} “Oh hey. If it isn’t that one chick. What’s her name again?” Aria rubbed her fingers together in thought. “Sunrise? Is that it.” She circled the other woman, shark-like. “Aria, was it?” She said dully. “What do you want?”

Shimmer paid no attention to the blue siren calling out her counterparts name. Instead, she used her strength to grab Aria’s wrists and pull them from her throat. With a sadistic grin, she then twisted them in her hands, fingers and all, relishing in the sound of the sirens bones snapping in her grasp.

Letting them flop off the the side, she grabbed Aria’s collar with her left hand and resumed punching her with her right, landing blow after blow on her, specks of blood coating her face everytime she drew her hand back.

Finally, she turned towards the blue girl once she had had enough, dropping Aria to the ground. Her neck popped, like something out of a horror movie as she gave a sinister smile to the siren in present. “So.” She said. “You must be… hmmm, let me see, blue, fearful look in the eyes, naively sounding… you must be Sonata. Oh, ol’ Sunset’s had more then a few interesting thoughts about you after your little chat. Gotta say… it sickens me.” She said, her smile turning into a sneer.

Sonata’s horror at seeing her sister thrown aside like a rag doll had to be put on hold now. The demon was addressing her. She locked eyes with her. One of her own eyes twitched. But she took a deep breath. Then another.

Stay calm. Stay in control. If she lost control…

“Sonata, run!” Aria choked.

Sonata remained where she stood.

“Why?” she asked Shimmer. “Sunset probably just wants a friend. She was stabbed in the back by the people who blasted her with a giant rainbow in front of her entire student-body. She was humiliated and then told everything would be okay and that they would give her shelter and help her move on. And what did they do?”

She waved a hand. “They walked off. It shouldn’t be a surprise that someone showing her the time of day probably makes her feel sympathetic. I don’t blame her. And I’m not mad at her for what happened in our past. Maybe you could cut her slack please?”

Aria was rolled into a little ball of pain now, listening to her wiser sister’s words as she tried to talk sense with a demon. She hadn’t realized Sunset and Sonata had a friendship.

Sonata’s eyes fell on Aria finally. “Can I please help my sister now?”

Shimmer stomped on the sirens leg when she spoke up, twisting her heel in the wound before turning back at the siren, a scowl on her face.
