As of today, November 17, 2018, any post with links, any links, even to other tumblr posts, just don’t show up anymore in tumblr’s search engine.
I just found out about it after I posted a fic with a link to my masterlist and it got little to no notes (it shouldn’t). I was right – the moment I deleted the links, my post magically appeared in the search again. Wow.
This is not a Tumblr thing. This is not a YouTube thing. This is all because of that fucking Article. These corporations are applying the directives ahead of time, trying to see if the European market is worth keeping or not with these new regulations.

Tell them that using automatic censorship is not a solution for their “precious” copyrights. They don’t know what the Internet is about if they only use Google from time to time.
The fight for copyrights is a matter of sensibilisation of the masses, it’s not about punishing the whole world for the fewassholes who screw with the freedom offered by the internet.
Yes, their main targets are the big corporations like Facebook, YouTube etc BUT these articles are downright stupid, destroying the very concept of parody by forcing every content creator to own the rights of any and every piece of media they’d use in their parodies.
It shows that this article was written by men and women in their 50’s who’s only obsession is the fight against big corporations, blind to the rest of the internet and the consequences of their decision
Make them understand that they need to modify these articles
