“Oh, it’s just a simple little energy restoration potion. Helps boost my stamina a bit too. I’ve made it a few times back where I used to live, but I haven’t made it since I-“
She had to cut herself short, almost letting slip she was from another world. She just met this person and she didn’t want her to think Sunset was insane. Getting sent to the loony bin was definitely not on her list of things to do. ”…Since I was a little girl.“ She finished. "I might be a little rusty, which is why I had a friend of mine mail over this.” She said, gesturing to the book.
She gave the woman a small smile, and took the salt from her. Her fingertips gently grazed the girls palms for a second, and she felt… cold. But that must’ve been her imagination. But still, curiosity are at her and she had to know if that was a fluke or not. So, she moved the fire salt to her left hand stuck out her right to the girl. “I’m Sunset Shimmer, by the way.”
There was something a bit odd at play here, Raven could feel it, but she didn’t have any evidence besides pure gut instincts to back it up, so she let the feeling slide for now. A restoration potion is simple stuff, she’s made it herself a few times, too, when the nights got too late but she couldn’t allow herself to sleep either for fear of nightmares or because of a need for vigilance. When the other girl grazed her palm, Raven didn’t feel anything malicious about her, so perhaps she’s just getting paranoid. It wouldn’t be the first time.
She returned the smile, taking the other’s hand in a gentle shake. A hand pulled her own hood down. It must come across as odd that she’d have it up in here, and she figured it’d only be polite to let the other girl see her a bit clearer. “Raven,” she answered easily. “Nice to meet you.”
“Are you experienced with alchemy, or is this for a teacher?”
As Sunset shook the girls hand, she quickly brushed aside the feeling of suspension, the girls hand turning out to be quite warm. Guess she must’ve been feeling that way for nothing.
"Raven? That’s a nice name.” She said, pulling her hand back as Raven pulled back her hoodie. Ok, wow. She was… “God, you’re beautiful.” Sunset suddenly blurted out as she quickly covered her mouth with a hand, a small blush on her face. She stammered for a second before finding her voice once more.
“I-I’m honestly just trying to see if I’ve still got it. Like I said, i haven’t done this in a while, but I’m actually not in school, soo… no teachers for me.”
