“Well, it’s nice to meet you Marinette.” Sunset said, gently shaking her hand. “And thank you! It’s not as pretty as yours though!” She said with a smile. “And I did! I lived in the United States, but due to some personal reasons, I needed a change of pace, so I’d definitely be up for that your!”
“Hehe…Thanks.” She said with a sheepish smile at the compliment on her name.
“You’re from the United States? Wow, you came a long way and you speak French as if it’s second nature, that’s pretty incredible! Anyways uh…give me a second.” Marinette ran back over to the register counter, grabbed a pen and wrote her number down on a napkin. She returned to her new friend moments after, offering her the napkin.
“Here, it’s my cell-phone number. Feel free to call or text me anytime, okay?”
“My mom was insistent that I take a few different languages when I was little. I can speak French, German, Italian and Russian and English.” She said, which wasn’t entirely a lie.
“And thanks!” Sunset said, taking the napkin. “I’ll have to get a new phone soon, but when I do, you’ll be the first person I call!”
