“Hehehe,” Autumn Blaze cracked up. “Are you a hotfudge sundae? Because you’re both cool and hot!”
She was going to say delicious too but even she knew that might come off as kind of creepy for someone she just met.
“Hey, puns are fun!” Shimmer said with a smile. “I haven’t had a good pun session like this in a while! But…” she paused, a blush on her face, but smile still present. “I was serious about that date. Would… would you like to do something together sometime?”
Autumn Blaze tried to hold off as long as she could. To make it as though she were thinking about it. But it didn’t last long. “Ha, yes! Of course, I mean. Who wouldn’t want to go on a date with you! You’re nice, you obviously read a lot so you’re smart. And you’re gorgeous too. But uh…” she rubbed her neck. “I sorta have never been on a date with a pony before. I hope that’s not a problem!”
“Hey, that’s not a problem at all.” Sunset said. “I’ve never been on a date with a Kirin before, so it’s bound to be interesting for the both of us!” She gave her hooves a little clap together in excitement as she asked, “So, is there anywhere you’d like to go?”
“Hehehe,” Autumn Blaze cracked up. “Are you a hotfudge sundae? Because you’re both cool and hot!”
She was going to say delicious too but even she knew that might come off as kind of creepy for someone she just met.
“I am, actually. I play the guitar.” She said with a sly grin. “But are you a thief, because you’re stealing my heart.”
She cracked up at that one. It was so cute. Not even cheesy, just cute. She blushed.
“I’m running out of good ones, Sunset! Slow down!”
“Hey, puns are fun!” Shimmer said with a smile. “I haven’t had a good pun session like this in a while! But…” she paused, a blush on her face, but smile still present. “I was serious about that date. Would… would you like to do something together sometime?”
Please remember that just because someone is playing a villainous character doesn’t mean that they don’t love their character, or don’t have a version of it that is perhaps new to you. Respect the muns of villains as much as you would respect any other mun, and remember to work with them.
It is very hard to play a villainous character in a world full of heroes and cinnamon rolls, and the muns who pick them up and are willing to give them a try deserve some extra support and love, because they’re going to need it. Love the villain muns, respect their autonomy as players, and don’t try to force their character to submit to your plot desires just because you’re playing a hero. Heroes might not always win, and heroes are not always more interesting, not always better characters – they’re just typically more popular because most of us want to be good, and it’s a lot easier to self-insert with a morally good character for many people.
Respect your villains. If they’re canon characters, don’t assume that they’re all the same as every other one you’ve seen. If they’re original, respect that their mun is giving you a neat new antagonist to deal with.
Conflict is necessary, and villain muns deserve to enjoy their RP experience, too!
Shimmer giggled as she ruffled Savannah’s hair and leaned forward to give her a quick kiss on the forehead, but was instead me with the blue raspberry and a cold feeling on her nose. She wrinkled it in sneezing softly as she gave a flat look at Joseph. “Way to ruin the moment Joe.”
“Ah – don’ jus’ sneeze on it! Now sh’ can’t even have it!” The old man grumbled and pulled himself back up, grunting as he felt the pain in his back, stepping out of the room. “Gotta go wash it off…”
“… Thank you for being here for me, mommy,” Savanna said quietly, pulling Shimmer into another hug and not even recognizing what she said.
Shimmer’s eyes widened as she processed Savannah’s words. Mommy… She had never really thought about herself like towards her, but hearing the girl say it like she did…
She sniffled softly as tears began to fall, wrapping her arms around the girl, wanting to pour as much love as she felt she could into her embrace. “And I always will be here, sweetie…”
Now close enough to do it, she placed a gentle kiss on the top of Savannah’s head and held onto her even tighter.
“Look at me, Savannah.” Shimmer said, gently lifting the girls chin up and ignoring Joseph. “I’m not going to leave you. Ever, no matter what you do. I care too much about you to do that.”
“… I-I care about you too. A whole lot.”
Joseph grumbled, forcing the popsicle in between the two. “Blue rasp’. Know ya like that ki–”
“Blue raspberry?! Hot dog~!”
Shimmer let out a small “oof!” as she felt Savannah fling herself at Shimmer, surprised at first, but soon she wrapped her arms around the girl, holding her close. “I will be Sav, I promise. I’m never gonna leave you, and I’ll always be there to protect you.” She said, her eyes growing misty. “I love ya, squirt.”
“I-I love you too, but– b-b-but…”
“I-Is there anything I.. I could do that would make you leave me? I-I just have to know s-s-so.. so.. I don’t m-mess up again.” She began to sniffle, curling up.
Joseph, sensing what was going on, grumbled and hobbled into the room. “Got ya a popsicle. Didn’ think yer friend was gonna be here. … Hi, Skittles.”
“Look at me, Savannah.” Shimmer said, gently lifting the girls chin up and ignoring Joseph. “I’m not going to leave you. Ever, no matter what you do. I care too much about you to do that.”
“You.. you think I’m a bad.. aaah…?” She was still too nervous to fully say the word, but her eyes welled up with tears before she suddenly swung her arms around Shimmer.
“I-I want you to be my family forever.”
The jacket was a little big on her, but Savanna still felt like she was the. Coolest. Person ever. When she wore that jacket.
“OhmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmyGOSH!” She snuggled up in it, squirming around. “It’s so stretchy and cool and I dunno if it, uh, matches my clothes, but it’s COOL! I-I’m just like you now~!”
Shimmer giggled at the admittedly adorable display. When she had invited Savannah over to her house, this was definitely one of the last things she had expected. “Well, it definitely suits ya squirt. Absolutely badass.” She said, ruffling Savannah’s hair.
“Hehehe,” Autumn Blaze cracked up. “Are you a hotfudge sundae? Because you’re both cool and hot!”
She was going to say delicious too but even she knew that might come off as kind of creepy for someone she just met.
“Well, do you like raisins?“ Sunset asked. “Because if you do, then how would you feel about trying a date with me?”
That gave the kirin a pause. Nobody had asked her on a date in a long, long time. Actually her social ‘difference’ among the other kirin had meant she usually was seen as unapproachable in that regard. So, hearing the word ‘date’ even in a joking form gave her pause.
“Been a while since I’ve heard that,” she told her honestly with a laugh. “Hmm…How about this?”
She tried on a joke for her answer. “Is your sun princess tall?”
The answer being ‘yes’ because why not? Life was made of chances.
Sunset giggled and took a step closer to the Kirin, saying with a grin, “She is very tall.”
