When April and suggested a sleepover at her place that night, she was a little hesitant, but Sunset had finally cracked over April’s impressive puppy dog eyes. Once her aunt had seen her off, the two had ended up having quite a bit of fun together, watching movies, snacking, and at one point, having April do Sunset’s hair.

Now it was bedtime. April had been asleep for a while now, and it wasn’t until she had almost gone into a deep slumber herself that Sunset had heard it. The softest whimpering coming from where April lay. She walked over quitely and genlty placed a hand on her shoulder and placed the smallest, lightest kiss on her head. “Don’t worry, April. I’m sure we’ll find your dad soon.”

Giving her shoulder a light squeeze, she made her way back to her bed. Sleep came soon after.
