So I made a little deal with her – I asked her to promise she would not go in the forest on her own again. She would go with me instead, so she’d actually have someone there to protect her. And you know what happened that day I snapped at her? She broke the promise! She didn’t come and ask me to help her, she didn’t call me, she didn’t even let me know she was headed out there.”
He ran a hand through his hair. “I went to visit her myself that morning, and I found out she went to the forest without me because Joseph said she told him that’s where she was going. And it gets fucking better. She was recording two huge demons that could have easily crushed her like a fucking bug if she had been caught. What if she had gotten hurt by the time I got there, huh?
