“Not in my full power. But as close as you shall get to seeing me. For now,” answered the alicorn. Luna’s eyes had become slit like a cat’s and her mannerisms had drastically changed. Not to mention the voice dropping an octave and becoming raspy and perhaps a tad demonic-sounding. But she had not transformed into her batwinged alternate form. No, the Elements had stolen that from her. Nightmare Moon remained trapped. “Luna is alas too powerful at the moment for me. And you must Sunset’s own demon made flesh?”
“At last…one I can relate to.”
She demonstrated her skill in piecing things together. “Sunset came to Luna speaking of her Hyde. And here you stand before us. Tell us, didst you spring from the crown Sunset sought to wear? Great power wielding and forming the great persona? And great persona lingering thus even as sad Sunset tried to set on her own horizon? No, you will not set so easily, will you? You will not go down without a fight. You and I…we are not snuffed out as easily as people seem to think we are. Some might even call us…necessary.”
Shimmer gave a the alicorn a short bow, saying “I am, Your Highness. I just thought you’d be… a little taller.”
“Neccessary? No. No, I don’t like to think of myself as that, but it certainly feels that way. I prefer to think of myself as more an… acquaintance. Dare I say, even a friend. She’s been through a bitter hardship that I unfortunately never experienced, but her pain is what awoke me the second time. The first time was indeed from the crown.”
“Also, please don’t take offense to this, but you talk more then Sunset does when she’s drunk, and she’s got a mouth that can rival one of her favorite anti-heros.”
