“I promised to see her again after I visited her the first time. She seems really nice…”
“That she is kid… that she is.”
It was rare for her to do what she was fixing to do, but she had a hunch about this guy. Rubbing the bridge of her nose, she reached into her jacket pocket and pulled out a pack of cigarettes. Usually she only had one once a month but… she was feeling it today.
“So how old are you kid?” She asked, conjuring up a small flame with her fingertip to light the cigarette up.
“Sixteen.”
Yawning, the vampire gave his simple answer, and crossed his arms. He was…. always incredibly lazy, and found it to be too much trouble explaining or giving more than a sentence for an answer.
Quite the charmer, huh?
Shimmer took a drag off cigarette, blowing the smoke off to the side with a deep sigh before saying, “Look, I’m gonna be straight with you kid. Savannah is an amazing girl. She’s spontaneous, outgoing and just plain fun to be around. But she’s also very naive in certain things.”
She turned to look at the boy as she tapped her ashes on the ground. “Now, I know she isn’t really one for human interaction, so my guess is that you aren’t human. Because you certainly aren’t giving that vibe off. So what are you? And what your name, by the way?”
Sighing, he scratched his cheek, slouching again.
“I’m a Servamp. …. My name is Sleepy Ash, or just… Kuro.”
Now, this woman made him uncomfortable. Especially because he wasn’t the type to fight women, even if they wanted to kill him. So if she decided to go after him, he’d likely have to spend a few days here healing.
Which was always a pain.
“Huh. Haven’t met a Servamp before. But I have heard of them. And Kuuuurrrro…” she said, dragging out his name. “Well, it’s nice to meet you I suppose. Name’s Shimmer.” She said, finishing off her cigarette and stomping it out on the ground.
“Now, I wanna make one thing clear. And whether not you care is entirely up to you.” She quickly grabbed him by the jacket and pulled him in close, her eyes blazing with a warning malice. “You may be this lazy looking teenage kid, but I swear, if you hurt her in any way, I’ll rip your fucking head off and send it your master in a box with a bow on top. Got it?”
“-– I have no intention of doing such a thing. Don’t worry. And I… I don’t have a master. I don’t think I really have any intentions of getting a new one, as my last one passed away a few years ago. If I got a new one, I wouldn’t be able to see her anymore since I have to stay close to them. That would be too much of a pain.”
Giving the boy a glare, she quickly released her grip on him, giving him a slight shove. “Good. Then we have an understanding.” She said.
“Follow me, I’ll take you to her house.” She said, walking off and not really waiting for him to catch up. “Oh and by the way, when you’re with her, you might wanna keep an eye out for a guy named Nero. Tall, white hair, a huge jackass. He doesn’t take too kindly to monsters running around, and more then likely, he’s gonna try to kill you.”
