Shimmer giggled softly at the last part with a blush on her face. “Yeah, I do get pretty silly when I’m like that, especially around… well, you-know-who.” She said with a wink and light nudge.
“But can I tell you a secret?” Shimmer said, leaning in close. “I always… kinda knew that was why you liked me. At least after we got over that rocky first meeting we had. Which, I never properly apologized for… but, then I got to know you. You’re smart, kind, funny, and while you can be a bit… impulsive sometimes, you’ve got a good heart, with a lot to still learn. You’re young, Sav. And stuff like this does happen.”
She ruffled her hair a bit, say “It wasn’t right of Nero to do what he did to you. He needs to understand that your still young. You’ve got a lot of idols that you look up too, and that it isn’t just him alone, ya know?”
“B-But.. we were friends, too, right?” Savanna sniffed and hugged Shimmer even tighter. “A-And now we’re not, ‘cause he hates me. H… he.. he.. said…”
“I-I-I– I-I– I don’t w-wanna go to hell!!”
“Savannah Mottram, you look at me.” She said, gently grasping her chin in her head and gently turning her head up. “You. Are not. Going to hell. Besides, even if you did, don’t you think I do everything I can to get you out of there?” She said, wrapping a strong arm around her and pulling her in close.
