“That face of yours. That’s the face of a girl who’s been betrayed by her friends and left alone” Mr. Blank said pointedly to Sunset, his something in his casual tone betraying some hidden depth to his crass statement. “What’s on your mind, missy? I don’t mean to brag, but I am an expert in such things, and I believe that the youth can succeed in getting past such hardships if only given the chance. I can give you that chance, Sunset Shimmer.”

Sunset looked up at the new voice that spoke to her with a raised brow. “Really?” She asked, downing the full shot of whiskey in her hand in one swig. “And is this the part where you tell me that your a member of an organization that gives people special powers or something?” She said with a slight slur in her words. “Cuz I already have that. Just not the red suit.” She said with chuckle.

As she told the bartender to get her another round, she looked back over at the stranger. “Also, you know my name. I don’t like that, so your lucky I’m borderline drunk otherwise we might have a problem. But for now, this-” she said, holding up her now full shot glass, “Is how I deal with my problems.” She down the shot once more with a sigh as she said, “and I never got your name. It’s not Smith is it?” She said with a chuckle.

“Leonard Canaan Blank. I was a teacher at your school, and it was tragic to see you go at the behest of those sniveling little weasels”

“Special powers? I know you’re legal but that kind of childish talk makes me think you shouldn’t be anywhere near a bar” Blank tsked. He didn’t stop her though, just watching on intently as she drank more and more. “No powers at all, just a way to bring back your life from the brink. Is a concerned teacher not allowed that hope?” Blank reached into his coat and drew out a card, a plain white thing with just a phone number on it.

“You could say I represent those who’ve been spurned and suffered. Whenever you’re ready to get help, to live on something more than alcohol, give me a call.” Blank reached out, seemingly grabbing a drink for himself. In the process, his arm bumped a bottle and caused it to drip down onto his card. Emblazoned upon the card in now not so invisible ink was a simple, mocking word.

ANONAMISS

“Yeah, I don’t by that for a second, Mr. Blllllaaaannk.” She said, drawing out the word ‘Blank’ suspiciously. “If you really were a teacher, then you’d know I was telling the truth, especially if you were around at the time of The Fall Formall. So you can take your concern and politely shove it.” She said, slamming down another shot. “Fuck that school and those lying asshole with it.” She snarled she said, snatching the card from him, giving it a quick once over before tossing it on the table.

“Ok, yeah. I’m getting serious ‘Deadpool’ vibes here, so allow me to quote it. "Right now, you sound like an infomercial, but not a good one like Slapchop, more Shake Weighty.” She said, giving the card a quick glance as she noticed the man spill something one the card. As she saw the words appear, a quite rage filled her as she said “What the hell does that mean?”
