Shimmer had to bite down on her tongue hard to stop herself from snapping out at Nero. “… Look, I won’t lie. A lot of stuff she does has me concerned, but that’s why you and I look out for her. But do not, I repeat, do not try and stop her from listening to the music she wants to listen to. I can take a lot of things, and I’m… trying to be a little nicer here, but this… this one of my big lines Nero.” Shimmer said with a glare.

“I know what she listens might not be for everyone, but it’s what she wants to listen to. We can try and stop her from doing stupid things but they get out of hand, but this? No. Music is a form of expression. This is a different kind of expression, but its still there nonetheless, and it’s what she wants to listen, and you shouldn’t be the one to stop her. If it’s what she really likes, and then you come along and say “No, this is bad! Stop listening to it, she may not seem like it, but she’ll be crushed!”

She sighed pinching the bridge of her nose. “Look, let me talk to her about this, ok? Please?”

“This kid has seen things. And she’s felt things. And even though you’re trying, and I recognize that, she’s been exposed to some of that bad shit because of you.” Nero put his hands up. “All while not caring about what happens to herself.”

“She willfully shoves herself in the face of demons that won’t hesitate to kill her all for the sake of a video, she doesn’t care if she gets hurt or even dies – and music like this… music talking about how badly people want to die or hurt others – what does that mean? I’m going to be the one to talk to her about it. My words mean more to her because of the whole ‘descendant’ thing.”

“Yes, that’s true, and I’m sorry for that, I really am, but at least let me come with you. Please! Let me help make up for that!” Shimmer pleaded, all but getting on her knees and down right begging. “Look, I don’t take a lot of thing in my life seriously, but when I do, music is at the top of my list. It was once said, "Without music, life would be a mistake.” Don’t make one now by taking this away from her. Let me help talk to her. Please.“
