Finally, finally, it looked like it was over. Nero gave the fight his all and.. surprisingly, Shimmer didn’t hold up nearly as well as he thought she would. Maybe she hadn’t known all this time she was waving a red flag in front of a bull. Either way, Nero didn’t give a damn, walking up to her fallen body with a look of disgust.
“I told you I’d do whatever it took to protect her… and now you’re never going to hurt anyone again.”
Sunset’s body was in more pain then she had ever physically felt before. Not that she could voice it, not with Shimmer still in control of her body. But something happened. Shimmer was holding back. Sunset knew she could have easily ended it, but… She was taking every blow Nero dealt.
Now her she was at his mercy. She desperately tried to call out to Nero, anything to try to get him to listen, but Shimmer was still holding strong. But then… She just felt her leave. Just like that. Sunset’s skin turned it’s natural yellow again and her eyes returned to normal. And then… The pain set in.
Her eyes widened and she let out a bloodcurdling scream of pain and tears flowed from her eyes. She couldn’t even move.
