This surprised Celestia and she couldn’t help but look down at her. She kneels down and held her tightly, rocking her gently.
Ssh-ssh… it’s alright sweetie. I know I know… I’m here now, and I won’t let you go…
She said gently, stroking her head softly. Really, she was trying hard not to breakdown as well, just hearing her daughter saying she was a bad pony made her heartache.
I know… you didn’t mean to leave me. Even after all this time, I never stopped thinking about you, and I never stopped loving you, my little Sunset.
She just continued to rock her gently to help her calm down.
You are not a bad pony… If anything, I’m the bad pony… I was a bad teacher… a bad mother. I feel responsible for pushing you down the path you went… I never meant to push you away from me…
She pulls her away to look into her tear filled eyes, showing she too was on the verge of breaking down too as some tears roll down her cheek.
Oh my little Sun, I am so, so, sorry for what happened back then… I hope you can forgive me for what happened.
I should’ve been a better mother and mentor to you, and I failed…
“No! Don’t say that! It’s not your fault!” Sunset said, finally looking Celestia in the eyes. “It’s all mine! I wanted nothing more then power… And it failed… I failed… I failed you… I’m a bad daughter…” She said, tears streaming down her face.
Celestia just simply holds her closes.

She places a gentle hand on her cheek.
We both made mistakes in the past… I suppose, we both have our faults in one way or another…
She then wipes the tears from her cheeks, before giving a gentle smile.
One way or another, I forgive you for what happened. I always had because I never stopped giving up on you or stopped loving you, my faithful student…
“I… Oh, gods! I missed you so much!” Sunset cried, digging her face into Celestia’s body, sobbing heavily. “I’m so sorry! I love you! I love you so much! Please don’t go! I don’t want you to go!”
