Sunset was still at a loss for how she managed to get to Paris of all places. She had honestly thought the contest at the mall was a fluke, but she won two weeks later, and after making sure that everything was legit, she was off to France. Good for her. She was sick of Canterlot City anyway.

After buying an English-to-French dictionary, and a little magic, she no longer had to worry about struggling with keeping up with the French language. And once again finding pure gold to be just as valuable here as in the States, she was good on money too, thankful that she was able to get the bits past airport security.

After renting a moped, as much as she would’ve preferred a motorcycle, she was off. After exploring the city, marveling at the sights and daydreaming, her stomach rumbled loudly. Chuckling to herself, she spotted nearby bakery, the sign reading ‘Tom & Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie’. Smiling, she pulles in. Pastries sounded good.

Within the bakery was a teenage girl with short, black-blue hair. She had just finished restocking the shelves and flopped over the counter in exhaustion.

“Man Tikki….Who would of thought today of all days would be so busy.”

At first glance, you would think that the girl was talking to herself until a small, soft voice came out from what sounded like behind the register.

“Well, at least it’s quiet now. You should sit down and take a break, Marinette. I’m sure your parents wouldn’t want you to overwork yourself.”

The Kwami said while munching on a cookie. The girl smiled in response and turned her head towards her little guardian.

“Yeah, you’re right. Better seize the moment while I have it! Hope everything’s going well on their end.”

Tikki was about to reply when the bell to the bakery door went off and quickly ducked into the teen’s apron pocket. Startled by the all this, Marinette sprung into an upright position, flapping her arm to regain balance as she nearly fell over by her sudden movement.

“B-Bonjour! How are you today?”

“Well, first off, are you alright?” Sunset asked the girl, the words in flowing out of her mouth in perfect French thanks to her spell. “And secondly, it smells amazing in here!” She said excitedly. “This is the first time I’ve been to Paris, so I’ll have to ask what’s good.”
