From everything Autumn knew about sleep and people, that was bad. Very bad. Sunset was probably hallucinating at this point.
“Sunset, we’ve got to get you to sleep lickety-split then. Why don’t you lie down and I’ll make you some hot cocoa?”
“NO! Have to… Have to stay awake… HAVE TO STAY AWAKE!” She cried. “If I close my eyes… it SEES ME! Can’t fall asleep! DON’T WANT TO!”
“Sunset, you’re making yourself ill!” Autumn exclaimed.
With preternatural strength the smaller woman grabbed the taller one and pulled her away from the ‘penguin’ and gave her a shake to snap her out of her delusional daze.
Sunset felt herself get pulled away from the “penguin” as she turned back to Autumn, fear in her eyes. “Don’t… don’t make me sleep! Please! I don’t wanna go to sleep!”
