Sunset was having the most pleasant dream.

In it, she was finally back home in Equestria, flying high in the sky next to Twilight, Celestia, Luna and Cadance after being crowned Equestria’s newest princess. She was smiling so brightly and for the first time in a long time she finally felt… happy.

Until she opened her eyes. That was when the panicking began, mostly because she was literally falling from the sky. Fear gripped her as she let out a scream, and desperately searched her body for anything that could potentially help her, but stopped when she heard a low beeping sound. She looked down at her chest, and saw… well, she didn’t even know what that was, and the ground was coming up on her.

Fast.

Desperately, she began to feel around on her mysterious pack, frantically looking for a switch or button or something, but after a few more seconds, she felt herself get pulled into a violent jerk. Thank God it was a parachute. But that still didn’t help that fact that she was heading for the top of the treeline as a high rate of speed.

There wasn’t much she could do now, expect brace for impact, grunting and shouting in pain as she finally hit the trees. Thankfully, she didn’t feel anything break and she finally felt herself jerk to a stop as the parachute got caught in a branch. She figured the only reason her shoulders didn’t dislocate was due to the tightness of the straps around her body. But it still hurt though.

She let out a shriek of pain, and tried to get herself to stop the swinging that had started when she got caught. Once that stopped, she took a moment to study her surroundings. And… well, there wasn’t much else, other then trees, trees, and more trees. She fi5the only way she’d know more was getting out of this constricting parachute.

Reaching up, she grasped the two parachutes cables in her hands and lit up her palms, the heat from her magic burning through the cables in an instant. She dropped to the floor in a heap and shook her head a few time to clear her thoughts before finally beginning her trek through this new place.

Demencia was sure to wear the dress that she knew Shimmer liked. She had had time to get it patched up since last they talked. So by the time she could meet the demon-lady for dinner at one of the private restaurants plenty of villains liked to frequent she looked nice again.

She sat at the table waiting for her date, doodling on one of the coloring pages she had requested. 

When Demencia had to Shimmer to meet her at the restaurant called Villaynes, her jaw almost dropped.

In doing her research about the restaurant, (having never been there before) she discovered it had a reservation list that was quite literally more then a mile long. She had even heard rumors of villains cryogenically freezing themselves to wait for their reservation, so know Demencia was able to get a spot, and for her of all people was honestly very impressive to her.

Her heels clacked sharply on the floor as she approached the greeter, almost tripping once. She wasn’t used to wearing heels, but she wanted to look nice, and she had hoped her dress looked the part as well.

The greeter(jesus fuck, was he an… ape?) looked up at Shimmer, giving a light smile as he said in a thick French accent, “May I… help you?”

“I’m supposed to meet my date here. Should be reserved under… Demencia?” Shimmer said.

The greeter squinted his eyes at her before looking at the guest list. “Name?” He asked. As Shimmer told him hers, a smile soon appeared as he said, “Ah! Here we are! Right this way!”

As he walked with Shimmer, he explained “The Black Hat Organization has been our finest patreon and supporter ever since we were established! Black Hat has only ever come her on special occasion, but Miss Demencia is one of our most frequent customers, and when she told us she had a date tonight we had to make sure it would be the best for her. Otherwise…” he seemed to grimace before continuing. “So tonight, whatever you wish will be provided, courtesy of the management. Enjoy, madame.” He said, approaching the table where Demencia was seated.

Shimmer nodded her thanks as she said, “Wow… this place is amazing!”
