Release herself from the hug, she gave a soft sniffle as she looked at Vinyl with sad eyes. “Are… are you sure? I don’t wanna be too much of a bother. Plus if anyone from CHS sees you with me…”

It won’t matter. The only people I really associate with my brother and Octavia. Not many people want me around unless it’s for a party gig. She shrugged simply after signing.

“And… what about Octavia?” Sunset asked. Even back when she was a bully, she ever really saw much of her. But that didn’t mean that Octavia might not have gotten away clean due to the Anon-a-Miss ordeal.

Sunset let out a short sniff as she quietly nodded her head, but unable to control herself, she embraced Vinyl in a hug, letting out soft sobs as she said “I can’t believe you believe me…”

Vinyl made a soft noise of surprise, but smiled and gave the other girl a pat on the back, her way to say “you’re welcome” without saying it. After all, Sunset had been through way too much. She didn’t deserve anything that happened to her.

Sunset swore loudly as her bag was knocked to the ground. She couldn’t afford to lose any groceries this week since it turned out her boss’s kid went to Canterlot High. Once word spread that it was supposedly Sunset doing everything, he called Sunset into his office and fired her on. the spot. 

She reeled on her feet, anger present of her face as she snarled ready to rip a new one into the person who had knocked her stuff down… until she saw Vinyl. Instantly, her anger morphed into a gut wrenching fear as she began hurriedly stuff her fallen goods into her bag and let out a shaky “I-I’m fine!” as she saw Vinyl sign before making a move to leave. 

Vinyl quickly reached a hand out to stop her from leaving. Wait, please…I’m happy to see you, Sunset…I’ve been worried about you, she signed. “I thought that you’d committed or something,” she wanted to say, but refrained. She knew what sort of weight that could hold. She didn’t want to push her away or anything.

Do you want any help? I wouldn’t mind. Neon’s doing homework anyways. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind if I got home a little later than usual because I was helping someone out. In full honesty, she wasn’t sure. As a matter of fact, she didn’t think Neon even knew who Sunset was, but it was worth a shot anyways. 

Sunset was floored. Sure, Sunset knew SL, hell, Vinyl taught her after the Battle of the Bands but… did she actually see that right? “I… wait… what do you mean? I thought you and the others at school didn’t wanna talk to me anymore?”

Vinyl recognized her. Sunset Shimmer, the one who tried to take over the school, and then rumors flew and so did she. Frankly, she hadn’t expected to see her anytime soon. She’d simply been going grocery shopping for herself and Neon when she accidentally bumped into Sunset and knocked the other girl’s bag to the floor.

Oh, shit, sorry, she signed before scooping the bag back up. You alright?
