Sunset paused in her actions, placing her hand against the door as she turned back towards the woman. “I’m just trying to get away from some bad shit from my past.” She said, leaning against the door now. “I was up in Washington State for a while until here recently. After all the shit, I just hopped on my bike and left.” She rubbed the back of her head once before reaching into her Jacket and pulling out a pack of half empty cigarettes, offering one out to the woman. “Names Sunset, by the way.”
“As for me crashing here, well it was empty so I figured “why not”, ya know? It was empty, and only gonna be for a night.“
“Bad shit? Like how bad?” Wendy asked curiously as she then listened to her story. The red head hoped she wasn’t some wanted criminal. Although if she was, wouldn’t she have tried to subdue Wendy or something? So maybe that wasn’t the case? “Wow, you starting to sound like someone I know,” She laughed quietly as she then saw the other offering a cig and then shook her head, “Already had my daily doses, don’t wanna make it a habit much,” Maybe she remembered Dipper being bad with people that smoked.
“Well, there are better places to crash than here,” Wendy offered and grinned sheepishly, “I can show ya if ya like,”
“Like, I got run out of town bad. It’s a long story, but maybe I can tell you sometime over a drink.”
She flashed the redhead a grin as she placed the carton back in her jacket without taking a cig. “Well, if I’m gonna be driving might be a little hard to do with that in the mouth.” She gave a chuckle before saying, “Hey, if it beats ghosts. You ever ride a motorcycle before?”
anyway so i just read through the new posts tumblr & tumblr support put out about this and here’s the low-down for my fellow members of the rpc:
written content containing “erotica” is still allowed – aka you can still write all your smut
nudity found in art like sculptures & illustrations is also fine – this does not include gifs of scenes from tv shows, movies, etc. that have explicit material such as genitalia and sexually explicit acts
if you’ve reblogged sexually explicit (visual) content and were not the original poster of it, you have nothing to worry about – tumblr is contacting the poster & it will likely be removed from tumblr and therefore your blog
aka save it to your computer if you really really want it i guess
this process isn’t going to be perfect – some things you think are fine will be flagged & vice versa. give it time.
also if there’s anything you’re the original poster of that is flagged & you disagree, you can appeal it to tumblr
if your blog was flagged as explicit, that is now obsolete by these new guidelines – your blog will still be overlaid with a content filter when viewed directly
You are still going to be here after the change. If your characters and relationships you’ve made on this shit storm of a site, is too important to abandon.
Sunset gave a quick glance back at Soos, raising a brow as she caught a glimpse of him working. He seemed nice enough. With a casual shrug, she followed Pacifica as she entered the gigantic mansion.
Inside, she was at a loss for words, taking in the sight of the beautiful decorum before her. “Holy shit…”
Elegance was an understatement when it came to describing the mansion. The extensive staff Pacifica employed did a marvelous job at keeping it beautiful and clean.
The kitchen was large and state of the art, she really spared no expense in any area of her estate. There were several fridges, two marked for servants, one for Pacifica’s meals and snacks and one with food for guests. The fourth was the one that she opened. “Root beer… root beer- hm. You’re in luck.” She picked up a can and handed it over. “So I like, don’t remember if I asked this or not yet but what brings you to this town?”
Sunset took the can, popping it open with ease before saying, “I was honestly just passing through when my tire went flat. I was trying to get to Portland. I had no idea this little town was here.”
“But I suppose I’ll be staying for a bit now, more to get a drink if anything when my bike is fixed.”
I know it’s tempting to leave and migrate to Twitter or Deviantart or whatever place to put your content due to the new policies, but DON’T. Let me explain why:
when your space is invaded, do you leave and let them take it? or do you stay because it’s YOUR space.
Leaving Tumblr won’t solve anything. As nonchalant as the staff is, if we leave, the new policy will stay in tact and NOTHING will be fixed.
We have to stay right here and tell the staff to go fuck themselves (Not literally, don’t harass the staff with threats or something) and do whatever we can to let them know their rules ain’t shit. Fix it.
it could take awhile. Weeks, a month, but we HAVE to kill this new policy.
Make petitions, videos, posts, but DO NOT LEAVE TUMBLR until they learn how to fix their shit.
@staff could you actually fix your shit instead of flagging and deleting every depiction of humans regardless of context. I have a blog where pictures of people who are hugging, driving, or just modeling clothes have been flagged and I assume are set to be taken down. I never comment on anything but this is lazy bullshit.
I agree that people should stay and try and fight this as best they can, but ALL THE SAME. Save things. Archive things on other sites as best as you can. Start deleting your NSFW posts and making sure your blog is as clean as possible. It will be very hard to stay on Tumblr to fight this if they just Thanos snap you right away because you had a single thing that vaguely resembled a female presenting nipple.
Fight this bullshit Catholic rule, but don’t be an idiot about it. Backup the stuff that is important to you, and have backup social media platforms so that people can contact you if you or they get purged.
