“Hey,” Sunset said, gently grasping Yuri’s chin and having her look at her. “It’s ok. Besides, I can act surprised. I’ve been told I’m a good actress.” Sunset said with a wink.

“E-eeeh?!” Yuri wasn’t used to someone making her give eye contact, but the way Sunset’s movements were so delicate… for some reason… perhaps it was being eye-to-eye or something, but the violet-haired girl’s face began to turn red.

“… S-Sunset, you shouldn’t be so nice to me so early. I’ve barely done anything for you … besides invite you to join the club.”

“So have you. I’ve… I’ve been through a lot in my life, and I’ve become a pretty good judge of character.” Sunset said. “Besides, I… I could use a good reading partner.” She said with a smile.

“N-no, they won’t believe that! You weren’t even in the clubroom at that point.. oh no, Natsuki’s going to hate me…” Yuri began to grow anxious, though the touch of Sunset’s hand somehow calmed her – just a little.  

“Hey, hey… It’s ok.” Sunset said, placing the cupcake on a nearby desk and gently grasping her hands. “I’m sure Natsuki won’t hate you. Besides, I’m not gonna let her do anything to hurt you.”

“O-oh.. soon they’re going to notice I left the room… and then Natsuki will notice one of the cupcakes is missing…!” Yuri was grateful that Sunset had a pleasant reaction, and just seeing her face made her want to smile, but… nobody wanted to face the wrath of Natsuki.

Sunset stole a quick glance at the girls feet before saying, “But you’re wearing… Nevermind.” She said with a shake of her hands. “Anyways, I’m honestly not sure. They say this is the City of Love, and while I do feel the "love” I just… I’m not sure.“ She said with a giggle.
