Sunset noticed the frantic scratchimg at her arm. With a concerned eyebrow raised, she asked, “Yuri, are you…. Ok?”
“I.. I don’t know how to.. to respond to..” Her breathing became heavy, and she looked at the other with worried eyes. “Sunset.. you don’t really feel that way about me. You can’t. You’re … you’re just saying that to make me feel good.”
“And what makes you think I can’t, hmm?” Sunset said, gently taking hold of her chin again.
Sunset giggled light as she said, “No… And if we’re being honest, I’ve wanted to kiss you from the moment I met you… You beautiful, and kind and smart… I wouldn’t mind starting something with you…”
“Fuh… from the moment you met…?!” Yuri’s voice gradually got quieter until once again she was too shocked to finish her sentence, and her hands were now frantically clawing at her arms.

“If you wanted to kiss me, all you had to do was ask.” She said with a light chuckle, pressing her forehead against Yuri’s.
“Wh.. We.. we’ve only known each other so long, don’t you think it’s too early..?” Yuri swallowed, trembling and feeling her face go even hotter as the other almost had her pinned to the wall she was sitting against.
“Don’t you think I… ruined everything…?!”
Sunset giggled light as she said, “No… And if we’re being honest, I’ve wanted to kiss you from the moment I met you… You beautiful, and kind and smart… I wouldn’t mind starting something with you…”
Sunset didn’t know why she did what she did next, she just knew it felt right. Reaching out, she gently cupped Yuri’s chin in her hand and leaned in, gently kissing the girl for a couple of seconds before pulling away, a blush spreading across her face.
“–!!!”
Well, just when it seemed that Yuri’s face was entirely darkened by a blush, it got even worse as she felt those gentle and careful lips press against her own. Was this.. really happening? What was happening?
Her heart began to pound in her chest. This was too much. What was she going to do?
“S.. Sunset..?!”
“If you wanted to kiss me, all you had to do was ask.” She said with a light chuckle, pressing her forehead against Yuri’s.
Sunset got to her feet and walked over to where the other girl was. “Yuri…” She asked gently. “Can you look at me please?”
“…I’m sorry.. I’m sorry…”
There was at least an attempt to comply with what Sunset was saying, Yuri’s head turning just a few inches, but she immediately looked away again.
“Why.. why did.. I’m sorry…”
“Yuri…”
Sunset didn’t know why she did what she did next, she just knew it felt right. Reaching out, she gently cupped Yuri’s chin in her hand and leaned in, gently kissing the girl for a couple of seconds before pulling away, a blush spreading across her face.
As Sunset slowly got back to a sitting position, she looked over at Yuri, rubbing her back slightly. “Yuri? Are you ok?”
She refused to look at the other girl, her face still flushed. How could she have done something like that? What was she thinking? Sunset would never see her the same way again. She ruined everything. Everything…
“…”
She just sat there in silence.
Sunset got to her feet and walked over to where the other girl was. “Yuri…” She asked gently. “Can you look at me please?”
Time stopped for Sunset as she felt Yuri’s lips on her neck. Soft and gentle… Before she could register what exactly had happened, Yuri gave a shout and shoved herself backwards and accidentally taken Sunset down as well.
Falling backwards, seemingly in slow motion, she heard soft music play in her head as she hit a chair, toppling over on her back and letting out a long groan of pain. “Ow…”
Yuri was sitting on the ground, not daring to look in Sunset’s direction. Despite how she had hurt her, she didn’t seem to hear any of it – lost in her own mind and rocking slowly back and forth while taking deep and frantic breaths, her hands gripping onto the sleeves of her uniform.
“Haah…”
As Sunset slowly got back to a sitting position, she looked over at Yuri, rubbing her back slightly. “Yuri? Are you ok?”
Sunset blushed lightly as she felt Yuri wrap her arms around her, and pressed her closer as she continued. “It’s getting late, your sisters call, and we pretend our phones are off. Yeah, I can’t stop the moving clock, I never wanted us to part that night.. dancing on your father’s car, we were so high…”
As the other continued, Yuri began to feel this.. small urge. It grew stronger as she considered her situation. Sunset’s head was resting right on top of her own. Her neck was right there… it would be so easy to…
Before Yuri’s anxious thoughts could overpower her, she lightly puckered her lips and softly pressed them against Sunset’s neck–
“KYAAA–!”
And then she threw herself back, face overcome by a massive blush. “Wha.. Why did I.. why… why…”
She was probably never going to recover from this.
