“Just friends, huh?” Sunset said with a smirk. “Ok, then. Well if you’re just friends then I’m certain he won’t mind the little tour you’re planning to give to girl you you just met. After all isn’t that usually how dates start off?” Sunset said with a teasing wink at the poor flustered girl.
“Uh…Date?” Marinette seemed to freeze at the word.
“Well um….he…probably wouldn’t mind. I mean it’s n-not like he…ah…hehe…eh…” Her body slowly relaxed, moving back into an upright position as her right hand held and rubbed against her left arm. She peered to the side for a moment before looking back at Sunset with a soft smile.
“Besides, I offered because I figured it must be lonely and kind of scary coming to a place full of new faces and surroundings. No one should have to go through that alone. Plus, usually, that’s how friendships start!”
‘If only you knew the half of it.’ Sunset thought. “That is true. And I do appreciate it, Marinette. Thank you.” She said. “And believe it or not, I’ve been through something similar before.” She said, which wasn’t entirely a lie.
She smiled to herself before pausing and moving closer to the girl before saying, “Soooo, if it’s not a date, maybe it can be a… Friendly outing where we get to know each other a little better?” She said.
“Sunset Shimmer!” Rarity gasped. “I think you need to stop being so bitter. The past is the past. We both have things to work on, but let’s face it you can’t stay mad at me forever. Please, darling. I both think that we need to be friends again. While I have had some feelings on and off for you, let’s just try to work on our friendship first.” Rarity begged.
“I think I’d have every right to be bitter.” Sunset snapped. “After all, you and the others did leave me in a pool of my own tears in the middle of a hallway. And you wouldn’t listen to a word I had to say until it was too late.”
“You have every right to be bitter, yes, but let me ask you this? Would you rathe try to work out your issues with someone later? Or would you just bottle them up and let them get worse? I had a similar issue with Sonata where she posted mean things about me like how I was not really a siren and just an attention seeking whore.” Rarity started to tear up. “I still face some the same things currently, some will just pass by me and call me a freak, a bitch, or just make up all sorts of things about me on social media.” She said crying hard. “I’m willing to make any kind of sacrifice for you!”
“I don’t keep them bottled up. I actually have an outlet for all the bullshit, and it’s called “Boxing at my local ring every three days.” It helps. Also, why would Sonata post that? You’re siren’s, kinda thought that would be a “low profile” kinda thing.“
“We are. But this was before I taught sonata the error of her ways. I’m now being blamed for being the anon-a-miss by Rainbow Dash and several other CHS students. The anon-amiss has strangely stopped posting about me, but I’m still being…. I…. I-I-I-I’m so sorry!” Rarity said, sobbing hard.
“Huh. So the others are blaming you now? That doesn’t make much sense, all things considered. I kinda figured your name would be in the clear because of the slumber party post.” Sunset said. “But then again, what do I know?”
“Darling, it’s quite complicated. I’m afraid I’m now in a similar situation as you are, I’m just about ready to leave Canterlot high as everyone thinks I’m a freak and the new anon-a-miss” Rarity said with a heavy sigh “I’m sorry I blamed you!”
Sunset groaned as she rubbed the bridge of her nose, before letting out a heavy sigh. “Look. I can’t forgive you right. After what you did, I just can’t. But maybe I can learn to live with it over time.”
A digital doodle of a casual Lord Dominator from Wander Over Yonder.
A full day or driving my parents to doctors, labs and pharmacies, I did find some time to draw some doodles while waiting …. a LOT of them… which I decided to ink and color when I finally got home,
Lord Dominator was one the characters I kept on sketching today.
