Sunset had nothing else going on for her at the moment, so needless to say she was incredibly surprised when her old, out-of-date flip phone rang, signaling her she had gotten a new message.

She flipped it up, and her eyes widening slightly as she read the message. ‘Could… could it be…’ she thought.

[That depends. Who is this?]

[It’s Lucy]

[I might have been given the wrong number]

[But I just need someone to talk to]

The ghost waited patiently, by now having entered the room while remaining entirely invisible.

[Who are you?]

Sunset’s seemed to sigh in relief before her brow raised at the name. After a short pause, she shrugged her shoulders with a small smile.

[My name is Sunset. But that’s ok Lucy. I know I’ve done that from time to time. Maybe I can help. Who are you looking for?]

@thewanderingsunset wants to chat with Lucy! (A horrible decision, really.)

Her body was still lying there. Lifeless. Decaying. Unwanted and dismissed by the world. Every person should get a proper burial…

But that man wasn’t kind-hearted enough to even want to get to know her. And so he met the same damn fate… with the back of his car, though. Hopefully he would get to learn what living without rest was like.

Now… what to do? Where to go? Who would she try to seek out next for assistance, and how would she even get them to find the body?

She searched, and searched, and searched… until…

The ghostly woman’s head peeked into the window, seeing one of those old out-of-date phones on the table. … Fine enough. The man had an out-of-date computer, so it’s not like this wouldn’t work out.

The room immediately grew freezing cold as Sunset’s phone received the first text from an incomprehensibly glitched number.

[Text from: Unknown Contact] Hi

[Text from: Unknown Contact] Can we talk? 🙂

“Yes, that’s true, and I’m sorry for that, I really am, but at least let me come with you. Please! Let me help make up for that!” Shimmer pleaded, all but getting on her knees and down right begging. “Look, I don’t take a lot of thing in my life seriously, but when I do, music is at the top of my list. It was once said, “Without music, life would be a mistake.” Don’t make one now by taking this away from her. Let me help talk to her. Please.“

“Okay, okay- … I’ll admit it, though, another part of me doesn’t want to do this either. She showed me those songs because she was convinced I’d like them. And – well, I’m a bit of a bastard, so of course I do. Hearing that I’m concerned over her listening to it is gonna hurt her…”

“And that’s why we’ll talk to her. She’s a smart kid, and she sure as hell knows right from wrong. Do you know how guilty she makes me feel after I’ve done something stupid?” She said with a chuckle. “She may be going on 16, but she’s got the puppy dog eyes of a four year old.” She said with a grimace.
