The hero would frequent the quiet, tucked away store that, when looked upon by someone unknowing of the magic arts, would simply seem like an eccentric’s store with rocks advertised to cure your depression, or sleight of hand tricks to entertain children with. Raven knew a lot more, though, and the ingredients the store stocked never failed to let her down when she needed a last minute piece of her spells. Seeing someone with bright orange and yellow hair, with a fashion sense that would make Starfire tackle the girl for advice, wandering the place caused a bit of confusion for the half demon. The cloaked girl approached the other quietly, head tilting. “Are you.. lost?”

Sunsets eyes scoured the shelves, frantically seeming to search for one item in particular. She had heard online that this was one of the best places to get stuff and ingredients for alchemy and need to have ingredients for spells, but during most of her time in this world, she had quickly learned that the magic she had come to know and learn from her home, and the magic here on earth were two very different things.

Unfortunately for her, the city of Canterlot didn’t exactly have anything worthwhile for alchemy. So, she figured after seeing said add, a trip to Jump City was in order. She could morthen more then afford it, especially after Twilight sent her the remaining gold bits left in Sunset’s personal bank account back in Equestria.

Now here she was, still looking for the certain item when a girl who definitely looked like she needed more time in the sun came up to her. "Umm… Well, to be honest, I can’t seem to find what I’m looking for. I need four ounces of Fire Salt, some Histcarp aaaaand…“

She paused, taking a moment to pull out an old looking book, which had obviously seen better days. Thankfully the portal hadn’t altered it in any way when Twilight had sent it to her. "Ah! And a Jarrin Root."

Sunset crouches low to the ground, eyeing her target with a small grin, her tail gently swishing back and forth. Finally, she pounced! She gently took Autumn in a hug and peppered her face with kisses as she nuzzled her with a giggle.

Autumn had been watering her garden and whistling to herself when she thought she heard a branch snap. Something heavier than the usual forest rabbit. But she continued to play oblivious. If it was one of the village kirin sneaking up on her she was in for the surprise. She liked playing and wanted to see what was up their sleeve. But then she got an even more pleasant surprise.

Sunset, from out of the forest, pouncing on her and showering her with affection. She giggled and pulled the unicorn close, clicking their horns together.

“Sunny,” she laughed. “You visited the Peaks of Peril?”

She got up and dusted off. “You didn’t tell me you were coming. I would’ve straightened up and stuff.”

Her tail swished and dusted off the front door instinctively. Not that it was that dirty. Just a bit of dirt from the garden.

“But it’s not a big deal. All I do really is play in my garden and make stuff. It’s more cluttered than it is dirty. Someone once called me a hoarder. But then some maids came by to help me tidy one time and they said I definitely wasn’t a hoarder, I just didn’t have enough space for all my stuff. Anywho–” she smiled and kissed Sunset’s nose. “Want to see my place?”

Sunsets nose wrinkled cutely as she felt Autumn kiss it. She let out a little chuckle and said with a grin, “Oh, believe me. I’m sure I’ve seen worse. But sure! I’d love to.”

“Come on then,” Autumn gave a bright smile and took the
other mare’s hoof to lead her along. “There’s so much to show you!”

She led the way into her cabin. Inside it became apparent
that Autumn was a botanist, a potion-maker, a musician and an inventor. The
place was disorganized but—as promised—not unlivable. She appeared to be one of
those absent-minded genius types. She had tea brewed already and some breakfast
prepared.

“I can make more for you,” she offered. “I didn’t realize I
would have a guest!”

Taking a look around the Kirin’s home, she gave her a smile, drinking in her new surroundings. “Wow…” she said with wide eyes. “This place is amazing!”

“And no! No, you don’t have to do that, Autumn. I ate a little something before came up here. And believe it or not, I’ve seen messier.”

She gave a soft giggle and looked over at the instruments laying on the floor, gently prodding a hoof on one gently. “So what all do you play?” She asked.
