The drive to the spa was a quiet one, Sunset not trying to make small talk with her occupant. All she would do is steal the occasional glance at Minerva, and constantly checking her rearview mirror. In her time in security, she had dealt with more then her fair share of crazy people.

The car was definitely a nice one though. Not the best she had ever driven, but it was still a smooth drive as she made her way to the spa. Definitely good for a fast getaway of she needed one.

After a few silent minutes, Sunset finally found the spa thanks to a little help from the GPS. Pulling in and shutting off the car, she moved to open the door for the mink, her mind and eyes going to work once more, looking over every window and door on the front of the building, as well as eyeing the rooftops and alleyways near the building and across the street.

Sitting in the front, the mink relaxed a little. Pushing back on the seat, she stretched her legs. The seat on the passenger side was set a little further back that the driver’s for the sake of comfort. Minerva had a fondness for enjoying space when possible. The windows of the car were tinted from the outside so once out of the carparking area on the lot, no-one would know it was Minerva Mink’s car which would be helpful. The only people who knew the license plate was the cops and that was so they wouldn’t pull her over.

The car itself, while clearly used for a few years, was in great shape. The engine wasn’t too loud and there was hardly a bounce from the suspension. It acted like how Minerva moved, elegant and steady. It was a smooth ride and it was easy to see why the mink drove it; it was easy to handle.

Admittedly, the ride would of been a little less awkward between the two if the radio had been turned on yet the mink didn’t want it on. Instead, she gazed out the window to look at the world outside. She admired it like one expected Rapunzel to gaze out from her tower to admire a world she could see yet never truly exprience. Believe it or not, the mink enjoyed people watching. Watching as people went about their days. Sometimes, even on set, she would watch people and make up little stories for them in her head, explaining why there were there at that moment. It was a fun little game….

Once they had parked up, she undid her seatbelt and slipped out from the car without an issue. A nod was given to Sunset, a show of gratitude and respect for her help before the barefooted mink silently sauntered towards the spa and hotel entrance. It was a modest building, a few stories tall with a logo settled upon the front. Two fountains flanked the path towards the entry way where an attendant stood, opening the door for the duo. Once inside, she turned to Sunset.

“You can relax here, Miss Professional. This place is well-protected enough. I shall, however, make you a little offer.” Her tail flickered as she coyly gave a little cheeky grin. “Care to join me in a more…. personal manner when I get my spa treatment? I never enjoy being the only one after all….~”

Sunset seemed to tense at the minks words, almost at a loss. Finally, she said with a sigh, “I… can join you wherever you wish ma’am, but it’s… quite different for me to relax.” She said with a sigh.

Even though she had been a bodyguard for a mere years, she had only ever had one instance of a client getting hurt. And it didn’t end well for her.

(half-and-half-creature) “My, shattering bonds, aren’t you? Isn’t that exactly what I predicted? Come on, I want to hear you say it~”

“I have no idea what you’re talking about there Agent Smith.”

“Only that with each day, more and more of you vanishes. The woman dies, rotting in you every day. I’d like to get to know the new tenant of this body before she officially takes over.” As usual with Blank, he could have been joking or writhing in sadistic glee as he said that. “Or do you think you’re just so perfect?”

“I never said I was, dude. Also… how did you know where I was?” You stalkin’ me?“

“I’m not saying you can’t. You could prove me wrong and pull through, but I’m just going by what I know. If anything, that should give you more incentive to lose that weight so you can rub it in my face for doubting you when you do.”

“So you’ll just be here like some kind of reverse psychology cheerleader telling me I CAN’T do it? Is that how it works?” Starlight asked. Her tone had gone dark and she began to sniffle. “I don’t need that kind of discouragement if that’s the case. I already have that voice in my head telling me I’m a useless piece of trash every fucking day and I struggle to even get up and do the basics. It’s already going to be a struggle to exercise like I want to. So if I fail what are you going to do? Have a party and celebrate that Starlight still feels fat and ugly? Will you be happy then, Sunset? I’m not sure where you’re going with this. I’m lost. I know you had a hard time in the other world and I’m sorry. Twilight told me it wasn’t easy for you and I respect that but taking it out on me when I’m trying to get better myself isn’t going to make you feel better.”

“… Wow. Ok, look, I don’t know you that well, so I’m gonna be blunt. One: That is not what I said. At all. Never once did I say "you can’t do it”, so don’t put words in my mouth.“ Sunset said taking a step closer to her, glare now present on her face.

"Two: You ever mention my time in the mirror world again, my hoof is going down your throat, and then you’ll definitely lose the weight because you’ll be drinking through a straw. You have no goddamn idea what I went through in that world, so I’ve got way more reason to feel just as depressed as you do. I’d have rather dealt with a little weight issue then what I had to deal with! You have friends! You have a life, and job and a purpose! All my friends abandoned me and I barely have jack shit to my name anymore!” She said, her voice raising slightly as she got almost nose to nose with Starlight now.

“And three. Stop. Being. A sad sack bitch. You have no reason to even think like, but yet here you are. I know about the stuff you’ve done because Twilight told me. And believe me, when I first met you, I really wanted to put my hoof down your throat for doing what you did to her, but I didn’t because I thought I’d give you a chance, and I did. And I was proven wrong about you. You’ve got real skill, and while you’re still learning about this friendship shtick, I won’t deny that you can definitely do something when your mind is put to it.”

She then reached out to roughly jab a hoof on Starlight’s chest, saying, “If you have the motivation to wanna change history, then do yourself a favor and change your own. Stop feeling sorry for yourself, shut that stupid voice out, get up off your ass and go lose that weight, because I KNOW you can.”

thewanderingsunset replied to your post ““Trying to lose weight. Unfortunately that means watching my caloric…”

“You sound like all of humanity. 95% of them say they’re gonna do that. Two weeks later, they caved from withdrawal symptoms and are right back at it.”

“…I…I didn’t mean to sound like a Basic Bitch. I guess I just want to do better.”

“I’m not saying you can’t. You could prove me wrong and pull through, but I’m just going by what I know. If anything, that should give you more incentive to lose that weight so you can rub it in my face for doubting you when you do.”
