After a rather unpleasant interaction with the good ole scale, Ditzy thought it would be best to head to the gym. She hoped on getting rid of a few pounds but was also interested in meeting a few friends. Gym buddies if you will.
But before working out, she went into the sauna. The blonde heard it was good to go before vigorous activity and she was willing to try anything.
Wearing a simple teal sports bra and black tights, she went into the room and sat down, letting a long sigh as her body relished in the pleasant warmth. Shifting her body a bit, she leaned against the wall, closing her eyes once she was comfortable enough.
As counterproductive as it seemed, Metal music always had a way of calming Sunset down. Except for today. Today was a rare occasion where it had just made her that much more angry. So she figured she go to the gym and try to burn off and much of it as she could.
Entering the gym now, she soon saw that the last couple of people who were were still in there were now leaving, which left the gym pretty much empty for the moment. Except for the sight of steam coming from the sauna which let Sunset know she wasn’t fully alone, she was glad. She really didn’t feel like dealing with people today.
Stripping down to her birthday suit, she wrapped a towel around herself and entered the women’s sauna… and froze. Ditzy was in there.
Shit.
All of a sudden, memories flashed through her mind of all the times she said any mean comment, every horrible rumor, and every hurtful thing she had ever done to her hit her like a ton of bricks. The only thing that seemed to snap her out of it was the slamming of the door behind her. She gave the meekest of smile and said in a voice so low it was almost a whisper, “H..Hi, Ditzy…”
As Sunset shook the girls hand, she quickly brushed aside the feeling of suspension, the girls hand turning out to be quite warm. Guess she must’ve been feeling that way for nothing.
“Raven? That’s a nice name.” She said, pulling her hand back as Raven pulled back her hoodie. Ok, wow. She was… “God, you’re beautiful.” Sunset suddenly blurted out as she quickly covered her mouth with a hand, a small blush on her face. She stammered for a second before finding her voice once more.
“I-I’m honestly just trying to see if I’ve still got it. Like I said, i haven’t done this in a while, but I’m actually not in school, soo… no teachers for me.”
An eyebrow raised at the impromptu compliment. She usually got “creepy” or “weird,” it was weird to hear such a compliment used in relation to herself. Raven pushed it from her mind, though. It wouldn’t do her any good to linger on it, and Sunset Shimmer already seemed embarrassed. Better not to draw attention to it, she assumed. Spare the girl any further shame.
“I see,” she responded, nodding thoughtfully. A simple potion was probably best for someone who was rusty with their alchemy, after all. No teacher, though? She hoped the other wouldn’t try anything too spectacular without someone experienced nearby.
Raven debated with herself for a moment before shrugging. “I could help, if you’d like.” The Titans and their enemies have been quiet enough lately. No point in not using her newfound break to spend time away from the Tower and everything that came with it.
Sunset seemed to block once or twice, as if stunned before she broke out into a small grin. “Oh! Um, sure! I think that could be fun! Only, I… I don’t actually live in Jump City.” She said with a sheepish smile. “I live in Canterlot, a few hours from here. This was the closest city that had the ingredients I needed since Canterlot is very…” she tapped her fingers together, seemed ponder on what words to choose before she finally chose, “Limited, on what they have.”
“I just don’t wanna take you away from here if you still have things to do.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about there Agent Smith.”
“Only that with each day, more and more of you vanishes. The woman dies, rotting in you every day. I’d like to get to know the new tenant of this body before she officially takes over.” As usual with Blank, he could have been joking or writhing in sadistic glee as he said that. “Or do you think you’re just so perfect?”
“I never said I was, dude. Also… how did you know where I was?” You stalkin’ me?“
“Stories like yours are easy to follow. You can skip ahead a few pages and the outcome doesn’t change” Blank idly revealed. Of course, only he knew that it was more than a metaphor for him. He made his best attempt at being apologetic and twisted his head with a deep and very convincing sigh. “Of course you aren’t perfect and you don’t think you are. Not consciously at least. You know more than anyone else how utterly fucked up you are. And you let that push you on, which is a little like reveling in that lack of perfection. At which point, well, might as well be perfection, right?”
Anyone who had this guy as an English teacher probably suffered for it with his backwards and twisted logic.
“Sweet mother of jack in the box Jesus, I am really glad I didn’t have you for a teacher.” Sunset said with a groan, rubbing her hand along her face.
“Look, if I skip ahead in my story I can also choose to rip out the page and write something new in there, now can’t I?” She said. “Besides, what pushes me on is wanting to live through another day with having to deal with cryptic shit like this. That too much to ask?”
“Sunset! I’m so glad you’re here.” Yuri approached her, one hand on her chest as she took a deep breath. “Um – Monika has suggested a group project. She, Natsuki, and Sayori are all going to work on one poem tonight, together. So… so, as a result… um…”
She looked away shyly. “That would leave you and me together. I hope you don’t mind, but… is it alright if I visit your house?”
Sunset’s eyes widened and she gave a bright smile to the purple haired girl as she approached. “Of course! What time did you wanna come over?”
Sunset stared at the computer screen in shock. Having completed her playthrough recent playthrough of the newly released game “Doki Doki Literature Club”, needless to day, she had a lot of emotions running through her mind: shock, awe, fear… and the smallest amount of sadness. Sunset had honestly grown fond of Yuri during her playthrough, and it came as a huge shock when… it… happened.
Once the initial shock were off, she had finally managed to make it to the final stretch of the when… something even stranger happened.
Monkia was there. And she knew Sunsets name.
After doing some digging, Sunset eventually discovered that there was a code in the game that read the computer’s memory or something like that, but nevertheless, it still read her computers name. But… she never had any trace of her real name anywhere on her computer. So how did she know her real name?
“Huh?”
Monika looked around. A couple of glitches came through her body, making her shake and shiver. Someone was playing the game.. Time to pay them a visit. She tapped the screen from the inside
“Oh hi, Sunset! Didn’t expect to see you there! It was so lonely here all by myself, and seeing you is such a pleasure to the eyes, to be honest. How are you?”
Ok, this was getting crazy now. What the hell was going on?
All Sunset could do was stare at the computer in shock as the words appeared upon the screen. How the FUCK did it know her real name?
“I’m alright.” She typed. “How do you know my name? My real name.”
i just discovered a youtube channel that does entirely live action remakes of spongebob episodes to get around the fact that you cant post the actual episodes
and theres actually a lot of effort put into this?????
