Shimmer shot a glare at the old man as she raised a finger. “Look,” she said, “I appreciate you looking after her, but that’s the LAST thing she needs.” She stated with a growl.
Her voice got softer as she looked back over at Savannah, a small smile on her face. “Hey, Sis. Look, I know something is wrong, but I won’t have you talk about it if you don’t want to. How about we go do something together, huh? You always wanted me to go out to a restaurant with you right?”
“I d-don’t.. really wanna head further into Fortuna right now… I’d r-rather stay where Joseph is, on the e-edge.”
The old man merely scoffed and rubbed at his nose, the stiff stubble on his face scratching at his hand. “Y’could see devil boy again. Know how much ya love talkin’ ‘bout him. Wha’ was his name? Necko?”
Savanna’s eyes widened, and she suddenly ran into the building, past him, and into her room before slamming the door shut.
Shimmer’s eyes widened as she saw Savannah all but panic as she ran into the building. She gave a glance at Joseph before looking where she had run off. “Well, I think we jaut found our problem.”
She gently trekked her way to where Savannah’s room was and gently knocked on the door. “Savannah? …. Can I come in?”
