Mystery

It wasn’t often that they had guests inside the Sanctum, but it has happened in the past. People appeared, looking for help, or they fall through some multiverse portal and wind up here. Stephen has seen his fair share of oddities, his fair share of mysterious occurrences, it was just how it worked in a world like his. If he wasn’t being messed around by a spiritual entity of sorts, he often found himself face to face with beings as high as gods, creatures like talking raccoons or aliens, or even a boy who clung to walls in a costume referencing spiders. It was an odd sort of life to live but one he found to be working rather well for him.

He preferred this life far more than the one he lived before. Where he could hardly use his hands, he can’t even really write his name without it looking like chicken scratch. Despite this he uses magic and casts spells, he does things others can’t even imagine. With one sense gone, the others grow stronger, this is something he holds to at this moment. Something he can practically feel in the vibration of his soul. And yet he found himself in shock as his eyes stared at the stranger who stood by the entrance.

There was something about them that didn’t feel right. Were they from here? No, not really. They weren’t from the bustling city of New York, they weren’t from the world he knew, perhaps a different part of the world, perhaps a different time in the world, who knew? He surely didn’t. Something didn’t sit well with him… There was a feeling of malevolence, of a stranger, it rang alarm bells in his head. But there wasn’t anything else he could do about it really.

“Hello, I’m Doctor Stephen Strange, what can I help you with?” He asked them, his voice calm and firm. It held all the authority one can expect from a guardian of this entrance to the main sanctum of Kamar-taj. Despite how he still considered himself a novice, how he still considered himself weak when compared to those like the dearly deceased Ancient One, he was still labeled one of the Sorcerer Supreme, oddly enough. However unlike his fellow masters, he was far more willing to help people when they request it. Faded memories came to light of Thor and Loki, of Tony and Peter, thoughts that dissipated like dust in the air– a different time– a different space.

Sunset still didn’t know how the hell she had ended up her. On minute, she was by the portal that led to Equestria, considering going back. She was fixing to take a step through when… Something happened. The last thing she remembered was was being sucked through, and waking up in front of this building.

“Um.. you don’t really looking like an average Doctor.” Sunset said skeptically. “But… I’m not sure you can help me with my… Problem. You’ll probably think I’m crazy or something.” Sunset said with a nervous laugh.
