“No, Rarity. How many times do I have to say it?! I don’t forgive you!”

“Darling, I think we need to make up. Please, you might be one of the very few that can understand me! I’m a siren, and trying to control my….” Her gem started glowing as wings sprouted from her back, her eyes turned red, and summoned a siren creature like that of the dazzlings “Powers!” Now it happened, the evil in her somehow was taking over, but was it too late to control the rage inside her and remain a peaceful siren?

“Oooooh. Scary.” Sunset said mockingly. “You have a pretty gem and some wings. Take that away and what are you?” Sunset spat. “Besides, why would you think I could understand you?”

“You became that raging she demon and wanted to take over the school. Now if the evil inside me isn’t contained, I might try to do the same.” She said directing the siren creature close to sunset and just barely missing her

But Sunset didn’t flinch. “Take over the school?!” Sunset said with a laugh. “Honey, I tried to take over a whole nother goddamn dimension. Besides, you honestly think I give a shit about you and those other hypocrites anymore?” Sunset shot back.

“Oh, but my plan is just the start, BITCH! I will take over ALL dimensions with help from Adagio, Sonata, and Aria. We’ll travel to equestria and beyond with or precious song, that Celestia will be no more!” Rarity said laughing evilly, her gem finally corrupting her. She started vocalizing as she let her gem glow trying to control Sunset.

But Sunset still remained unfazed. “Did that necklace give you memory issues? That’s doesn’t work on me, remember? Besides, you really think you can take over Equestria when it’s guarded by it’s own military forces, four insanely strong princesses and the Elements of Harmony?”

“Oh but you wouldn’t be able to either, remember?” Soon she blacked out, but not before saying weakly “help…..me….Sunset.” And there she laid, out cold. The poor siren’s powers had corrupted her.

“Uuugh…” Sunset groaned, before her better instincts took a over and she grabbed Rarity by the arm, dragging her to a nearby room and throwing her on a chair.

Rarity wouldn’t wake up for a while. Minutes passed, 1 hour became 2 hours. Rarity woke up, unaware of the corruption she underwent, her mind was fuzzy. “W-where am I…? W-what happened?” She stammered, clearly out of it. Luckily Rarity’s friendship magic had prevented her siren magic from corrupting her further, but it was way too close for comfort. Next time, the siren magic could overpower it. All it may take is a Rarity giving into her siren magic.

“You tired to kill me and threatened to take over my homeland and kill my mother.” Sunset said, fiddling with something in her hands. Turns out, it was Rarity’s necklace, which she had managed to get off her while she was out.

“I’m so sorry, Sunset. I never knew my siren magic would corrupt me!” Rarity said in shock. “All….” she then began to cry. “All I wanted to do was try to first make peace between the sirens and the humans and meanwhile try to reform the sirens 1 by 1.” The siren sobbed. “But I became a monster! I became so self -centered, and….” she had no words. Rarity couldn’t even explain what she was doing and what was going through her head.

“Gee, you be self centered? What a surprise.” Sunset said with a roll of her eyes. “Tell me something, Rarity, if you knew this was a siren necklace after you put it on, then why didn’t you take it off and destroy it?”

Rarity took some deep breaths, calmed down and cleared her mind. She then told her story. “I didn’t know immediately after I put it on.” Rarity said, shaking her head. “Honestly, I thought it was just a fake replica. I was just so entranced by the appearance. I found it on the beach. If I recall correctly, I was laying in the sand, but I felt something hard under my towel.” She explained.

“So I looked underneath, brushed off some sand, and had discovered the siren necklace. I didn’t feel anything at first, which, at first, had confirmed my suspicion that it was fake. But when I got back home, I felt dizzy, and woke up in a different outfit. I just shrugged it off as just… well weird. But when I sang, I noticed my voice sounded the same although a bit different, perhaps more beautiful. It was then that I knew that I was a siren. I didn’t think to destroy it at first, darling, as I wanted to use my powers for good and as I said earlier, make peace between the humans and sirens as well as try to reform the dazzlings.” Rarity said. “I never told anyone at first because I was afraid. Afraid of losing my friends, my job, and my family. I was worried, for instance, that if Sweetie Belle found out, she would never speak to me at first. Now look at me. I’m a horrible person.” She said, starting to cry again.

“Yeah. You are.” Sunset said with a glare. “Besides, I’m sure your friends would’ve tried to talk you out of it, which would’ve been a smart move on their part.”

“Darling, I don’t understand why you don’t think that trying to make peace between rivals is bad! It’s sort of like what happened when Princess Twilight patched up everything between me, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and eventually you. That’s all I wanted. But seeing as though the sirens were banished and rather unforgiving, I thought that my new siren self would start to fill a gap between humans and sirens. I was trying to be generous to them. I only got around to Sonata, who has befriended me and encouraged me to continue my journey of trying to reform them. Darling, I’m just so sorry that it came to this! I never thought my siren necklace would corrupt me! There has to be a way to perhaps… reprogram, for lack of a better term, the magic inside the necklace to prevent it from corrupting me and allow me to use my powers for good.” Rarity then hung her head. “But there isn’t. Please…. just give me what I deserve… get me expelled, send me to jail, kill me, just give me the Justice I deserve!” She said, thinking there was no way out.

“Oh, you don’t want to tell me that because I WILL kill you without a second thought. You and the rest of those people.” Sunset spat. “But I won’t. The only thing I’m gonna finish this.” And with that, she dropped the gem to the floor and crushednot under the heel of her boot.

Sonata stepped in and was shocked at what she saw. “Sunset Shimmer!!!” She snapped. Storming towards her. “What did you do?! That was our last hope! Now Rarity will never be able to convince my sisters to befriend her and eventually try to reform them! You son of a-“ she was then cut off by Rarity

“Sonata, PLEASE! No! I have to learn my lesson.” Rarity said.

“Please! Give her another chance! You have to fix that necklace. For that one was-“ Sonata stopped as she witnessed Rarity faint. She quickly ran over to the fashionista. Rarity was cold and lifeless. “That was cursed by my parents! If crushed, it kills the one who first wears it! YOU MONSTER!!!” She said breathing heavily. Inside the necklace was a note. “Wait….” Sonata said looking at the note on the floor. She went over and picked it up before reading it. “How…..” Sonata said, reacting to what it said. She was speechless! Sonata had NEVER heard of such a thing being possible!

“If it kills the first one who wears then why is Rarity dead?” Sunset questioned with a raised eyebrow.

“Nobody has EVER worn it before Rarity! How it got here is a mystery… It must’ve been banished with us. Maybe Adagio or Aria wanted to corrupt someone! That’s my guess. It’s up to you now to save Rarity. As per this note you’ve got 30 hours to fix the gem before she’s dead for good. That’s one day plus 6 hours from now. The clock is ticking. If you fail to revive someone I call my sister, so help me, there may be revenge. You put this on yourself.” She snapped.

Something inside of Sunset snapped. Moving faster the she thought she could, she roughly grabbed the youngest siren by the neck and hoisted her into the air off her feet. Snarling, she pulled the girl in close, her eye swimming with rage and malace. “No, I didn’t! Rarity did the moment she put on that necklace! All I wanted to do when I left Canterlot High was live my life, but they just wouldn’t let me! So, no. It’s not on me if she lives or does because she brought this on herself! If not me, then somebody else would’ve shattered it!”

“LET GO OF ME RIGHT NOW OR YOU’RE DEFINITELY GOING TO KILL ME!!!” Sonata tried to say, gasping for air. “I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT, BUT YOU’RE CHOKING ME TO DEATH!!!”

“Then let this moment sink into your dense, thick, brainless skull! You wanna come for me if she dies? You go right ahead. But know if you do: I. Will. Kill you. All of you.” Sunset said with a sneer.

“YOU HEARTLESS SON OF A BITCH! LET ME GO OR YOU’LL DEFINITELY REGRET KILLING ME RIGHT HERE AND NOW!” Sonata said, gasping for air. “YOU’LL BE KNOWN AS A MURDERER!” She added still trying to breathe air.

Sunset glared at Sonata before hurling her across the room. “You’re right.” She said bitterly. “You’re not worth the time.”

Sonata landed hard against the wall, “OW!” She said before scratching her head and panting trying to catch her breath. “Why would you do that to me?! Never mind that. You. Have. To. Save. Rarity. Before. It’s. Too. Late!” She spoke, glaring at sunset.

“Why should I? Nobody saved me when I tried to kill myself.” Sunset said bitterly.

“Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t help anybody else now! The past is the past, you can’t change that. Now unless you REALLY want my help, I’ll be returning to my sisters who are just as affected by the anon-a-miss! Last chance to have me help you help Rarity…” Sonata said shaking her head.

Sunset paused, taking in the siren’s words before saying. “You’re right. The past is the past, and I can’t change it. But now I’m looking towards the future. And it doesn’t have her or you or anyone else from my time here in Canterlot in it.”

“And help me? I knew you were the stupid one, but what make you think I need help?” Sunset spat.

Sonata slapped sunset “Excuse you? I’m the stupid one? Who got themselves into this mess in the first place? Oh yeah, YOU!” (Rekt) Sonata snapped. “And I don’t think you even know how to put the necklace back together and allow Rarity to still have her powers!” She huffed.

Sunset’s head merely twitched to the side as she felt the siren slap her. Turn back at her, she glared at her and struck out with a quick, hard right jab aimed that the siren’s jaw. “I didn’t get myself in any situation! All I wanted to do was to be LEFT. ALONE. Seems like everybody else wanted that too since everyone was so quick to think that it was me who was Anon-A-Miss! I was fine with that! Then Rarity had to drag her stuck up self back into my life when I was starting to move on!”

“And what made you think I knew how to put it back together in the first place, dumbass?! I’m a unicorn, not a goddamn siren! It’s your families artifact, so you figure it out! I’m done here.”
