She was crying. Broken down in tears unlike the usual aloof and joyful self. She didn’t want anyone to see such a sorrowful part of her.
“They wanted me to…I couldn’t hurt those poor sweeties!! The mewmans told me it was my job to-!”
She covered her mouth to prevent speaking moreso.
Sunset’s eyes welled up with unshed tears as she knelt down next to the crying woman, gently placing a hand on her shoulder, trying to give what comfort she could.
“Hey, it’s ok… It’ll be alright.” She said with a shaky voice. “You didn’t do it. That makes you so much better than them. You don’t have to say anymore. And I’m sorry…” She said, the tears now flowing openly down her cheeks, “ I’m so, so sorry I brought this up!”
