“Yes, Stepmother–”

Their brief exchange was interrupted by a knock at the door.

“… And see who that is. I’m going upstairs to speak with my daughters. Don’t interrupt.”

As the older woman went up the stairs and vanished, Cinderella approached the door and opened it slowly.

“Who is it?”

Oh, boy. This… This was gonna be awkward. Hopefully the people here were understanding. Sunset jumped slightly as the door she knocked on opened, reveling a beautiful young woman standing there. “Um… Hello. I-I’m sorry for the bother, but I was wondering if… If you could tell me where I was.”
